Blackstock graduated from Knox College in Galesburg Illinois with a Bachelors degree in biology. She did undergraduate work at Colorado School of Mines in geology and graduated with a Masters degree in geology from the University of Tulsa. She completed her thesis on the Northwest Tecemseh Skinner and Redfork Field in Oklahoma, examining ten cores, determining the petrology and diagenesis of the formations from thin sections and determining the depositional environment from examination of cores and mapping of electric logs.
Blackstock enjoys spending time with her three children, gardening, playing tennis and waterskiing and snowskiing when she gets a chance. |
